Genghis Khan

Genghis Khan (1162?-1227) was the founder and Great Khan (emperor) of the Mongol Empire, which became the largest contiguous empire in history after his demise. In 1226, Genghis Khan led his troops in their victory over Ganzhou and Suzhou cities (presently Zhangye and Jiuquan in Gansu Province). He came to Xinglong Mountain, but his two sons realized that it was more difficult to defend the territory than capture it. He put forward the blueprint for “allying the Song Dynasty to wipe out the Jin Dynasty.” Genghis Khan died in the year 1227.
