A two-story public toilet has become a bright sight of the street along Jinchang South Road in Chengguan district, Lanzhou city, Gansu province. With the Western style cultural bricks, transparent glass, dotted with green plants, no smell, refreshed the traditional impression of public toilets.

The reporter walked into the public toilet along the barrier-free passageway and found that in addition to the regular men's and women's toilets, there was a third toilet with urinals for adults, disabled people and children, toilet seats, as well as separate nursing room, baby temporary placement tables and diaper changing tables. This is the result of the re-planning of the old public toilets according to "one toilet one scene" by the Municipal Environment and Health Administration of Chengguan district of Lanzhou this year. Currently, 32 toilets have been reconstructed and put into use. The reconstructed toilets have hot water, hand sanitizer, free toilet paper, and three-level ventilation facilities to ensure no smell.

The public toilet in Wu Fu Lane is a gray urban style with a piano shaped ceiling lamp; The public toilet of Minzhu West Road is a modern fashion style. The color of the public toilet is orange and yellow with jumping feel, which echoes to the style of the surrounding cultural wall. The public toilet of Yangyuan Lane is a petty bourgeoisie style., exterior wall designed window, simple art picture frame and art vase are enchased inside, makes it very cultured.

The reporter learned from the government of Chengguan District of Lanzhou that 23.821 million yuan was added to the local one-time public toilet management and protection funds this year, and the 24-hour opening of public toilets was fully implemented. At the same time, the new management and maintenance mode of public toilets was launched, which increased from one shift per person to two to three shifts per shift. Real-time cleaning was carried out every 15 minutes, and public toilets were continuously managed all the time.
