Linxia Brick Carving is a traditional folk art of Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture of Gansu Province, known for its fine carving techniques and simple and elegant art style. It is mainly used for architectural decoration on shadow walls, walls and lintels. In 2006, it was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage. In recent years, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has guided ten key areas in the construction of intangible cultural heritage employment workshops for poverty alleviation, and Linxia Brick Carving is one of the representative projects.

Through the model of "poverty alleviation through intangible cultural heritage” and relying on the local intangible cultural heritage resources, Linxia prefecture promotes precision poverty alleviation to create more job opportunities for the poor people there and increase their income and motivate them to grow rich.
