Lanzhou City’s First Batch of Government Vegetable Reserves for 2020-2021 Winter and Spring begins to be put on the Market

On December 22nd, the reporter learned from the Lanzhou Municipal Food and Strategic Reserves Administration that Lanzhou City’s first batch of government vegetable reserves for 2020-2021 winter and spring, i.e., 4,000t of vegetables, had begun to be put on the consumer market of Lanzhou City.

On December 20th, the Lanzhou Municipal Food and Strategic Reserves Administration began to put the government vegetable reserves for 2020-2021 winter and spring on the market in accordance with Lanzhou City’s Measures for the Administration of Winter and Spring Vegetables and Cold Meat in order to ensure the supply of vegetables in winter and spring to meet the consumer demand during the festival. The vegetable varieties put on the market this time include Chinese cabbage, radish, carrot, potato, onion and cabbage, as well as appropriate amounts of celery, green Chinese onion, broccoli, cucumber, tomato, white gourd, pumpkin, garlic sprouts, cauliflower and green pepper, with the market supply ensured.

It is learned that the government has prepared 10,000t of winter and spring vegetables for 2020-2021 to ensure the supply and meet any emergency demand throughout the city this winter and next spring. The vegetable reserves will be put on the market in three times: 4,000t were put on the market from December 20th, 2020 to January 19th, 2021; 3,00t will be put on the market from January 20th to February 19th, 2021; 3,00t will be put on the market from February 20th to March 15th, 2021.
