On December 26^th, the 2020 Gansu Provincial Conference on High-quality Development of Channel Logistics was held at the Gansu (Lanzhou) International Land Port.

At the conference, it was announced that the Gansu provincial “Belt and Road” International Logistics Enterprise Alliance would be established. Also, advanced collectives from the provincial logistics industry received commendations, and the Self-disciplinary Convention for the Logistics Industry of Gansu Province was issued. As a important open platform on the “Silk Road Economic Belt”, a core carrier of the “Belt and Road” construction, a key node in the new pattern of western China development, and an important channel through the whole province integrates itself into the domestic circulation and international circulation, the Lanzhou Land Port is a deep participant and major witness of the high-quality development of channel logistics in Gansu Province. At the special promotion session, Li Jianlang, a member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of Management Committee of Lanzhou Land Port, made a speech titled “Integration into the National Logistics Gateway to embrace the New Development Pattern of Dual Circulation”. He provided detailed information on the obvious comparative advantage, brand-new development pattern and excellent service environment of the Lanzhou Land Port. Specially invited experts, Zhu Yongbiao, Executive Director of the “Belt and Road” Research Center, Lanzhou University, and Weng Hongtao, a lecturer at the School of Management, Lanzhou University, gave key-note speeches titled “Opportunities and Challenges for Gansu Province’s Channel Economy under the Background of New Development Pattern” and “Humble Opinion on the High-quality Development of Channel Logistics”. They analyzed the contradictions and problems existing in Gansu Province’s channel logistics, pointing out the direction for the development of Gansu Province’s channel logistics industry.

To promote the development of the logistics industry throughout the province, the Gansu Provincial Logistics Association and Lanzhou International Port Investment and Development Co., Ltd. have initiated the establishment of the Gansu provincial “Belt and Road” International Logistics Enterprise Alliance would be established, aimed at integrating the international logistics resources of Gansu Province, optimizing the international logistics system of Gansu Province, and promoting the related enterprises to share information, resources and policy support with one another to further enhance interconnectivity. 22 companies have formally joined the alliance so far.
