In the morning of 8th April, the 33rd Patriotic Public Health Month hosted by the Health Commission of Gansu Province, the Civilization Office of Gansu Province and the Patriotic Public Health Office of Gansu Province was initiated in the Marathon Park.
The theme of this public health month is “civilization, health, greenness and environmental protection”. During this campaign, it will be popularized that “civilization and health originate from mind”. All-round thematic popular science activities will be carried out by online questioning and answering, interactions specific to topics as well as activities for entering agencies, communities, schools, enterprises and countryside. Efforts will also be made to enhance people’s understanding of civilized and healthy lifestyles through slogans, billboards, posters, videos and public welfare publicity. Traditional media (including TV, radio and newspaper) and new media (such as Weibo, WeChat and online live streaming platforms) have to be fully utilized to publicize popular sciences in multiple dimensions. In addition, mass practices will be planned to “promote low carbon and environmental protection in practices”. Dependent upon patriotic public health networks and new era civilization practice centers (stations or stops), thematic practices will be conducted around “green travel”, “plate-clearing action”, “garbage classification”, “happy healthy running” and so on, to spread concepts on civilization, health, greenness and environmental protection by experiential activities. Co-construction activities will be organized for “joint protection of green homes”. Keys, difficulties and weaknesses of early work will be sorted out to find out loopholes and tackle weaknesses. Mass campaigns will be conducted in combination with professionals to protect against vector-bone organisms in spring, to create a favorable atmosphere under which everyone acts and participates in patriotic public health campaigns.
On that day of this campaign, related departments promoted knowledge about history of patriotic public health, laws and rules on patriotic public health, construction of human settlements, disease prevention and so on in forms such as display panels and brochures, to guide citizens to pay attention to work regarding patriotic public health and actively take part in mass campaigns of patriotic public health.
