Shangnan county promotion conference of tourism and project investment was held on the morning of June 10th. The Jinsi Strait and the Yangchengyi scenic spot and Lanzhou Investment Enterprises signed four cooperation agreements where the total amount of planned investment reached ￥120 million yuan.
On the day, Shangnan County focused on promoting three boutique tourist routes, including “Shangyu Ancient Road”, “ Extraordinary Canyons” and “ Majestic Mountains”, ten A-level scenic spots, including Yangchengyi, Xijie Ancient City, Beicha Town, Mancun bay, Jinsi Strait, Danjiang for rafting, Rongdong for rafting, Wenbi Mountain, Zhaochuan town Qianpoling site of battle, Bailangjie connecting three provinces, five high-quality cultural and tourism programs, Chahai Park at Yangchengyi, JInsi Strait, upgrading of Mnehu Area of Jinsi Strait, Kangqinyuan eco-tourism old-age care center in Shangnan County, construction of sightseeing ropeway in Wenbifeng, and Lianhuataihedeng culture and folk custom village. Besides, Four cooperation agreements have been signed on the spot, with a total planned investment of ￥120 million yuan.
In order to strengthen the cultural and tourism cooperation between the two places, Shangnan County also introduced preferential policies for tourists come from Gansu Province and Lanzhou: First, from now to August 31, Jinsixia Scenic Spot and Yangchengyi Scenic Spot are free for teenagers under the age of 16 in Gansu Province; Second, from now to December 31, at Jinsi Strait 5A scenic spot, Yangchengyi 4A scenic spot, Rongdong Drifting, Danjiang Drifting, Wenbifeng, half-price tickets can be enjoyed by Lanzhou Citizens; Third, from now to August 31, Gansu travel agencies can enjoy preferential policy that Jinsi Gorge, Yangcheng Yi combined ticket for Jinsi Strait and Yangchengyi is 72 yuan on weekday and 100 yuan on weekend.
Shangnan County is located at the southern foot of the eastern section of the Qinling Mountains and at the intersection of three provinces and eight counties of Shaanxi province, Henan province and Hubei province. It is known as the “Pearl of Southern Shaanxi Province and the symbolic of Qinling Mountains”. With abundant tourism resources, the booming development of cultural and tourism industry has become the leading industry to promote poverty alleviation. In the past three years, the number of people lifted out of poverty by tourism in Shangnan County was 13,746, accounting for 24.10% of the total number of people lifted out of poverty.
