Highland vegetable businesses are bringing prosperity to Yuzhong county, Lanzhou, capital of Northwest China's Gansu province.
The county is more than 1,400 meters above sea level, with sufficient sunlight, and has large temperature fluctuations between day and night.
Taking advantage of the cool summer climate, the county plans to cultivate 380,000 mu (153,789 hectares) of highland vegetables this year to boost rural income growth.
Varieties of local agricultural products include cauliflowers, broccolis, baby cabbages celery, and endive sprouts.
