On June 25, the launching ceremony of the 2025 Gansu Provincial Public Institutions Energy Conservation Publicity Week "Energy Conservation and Efficiency Enhancement, Renewed 'New' Leading" theme publicity activity was held in Lanzhou City. This event was jointly sponsored by the Provincial Administration of Organ Affairs and the Lanzhou Municipal People's Government, aiming to promote energy conservation and carbon reduction in public institutions and play a demonstration role in green and low-carbon development.

Citizens flipped through propaganda books

At the event site, students from Lanzhou No. 14 Middle School sang the youth melody of energy conservation and carbon reduction with a theme song of Energy Conservation Publicity Week "Walking Together". Representatives of energy-saving volunteers of public institutions collectively read out the proposal of "Walking Together to Help Public Institutions Save Energy and Increase Efficiency", calling on the whole society to participate in energy-saving actions. Subsequently, the signature activity of "low-carbon pilotage and green companionship" was carried out warmly, and the atmosphere was high. At the same time, the exhibition of new energy vehicles, energy-saving and environmental protection technology products and the exchange of green plants were carried out in an orderly manner, vividly demonstrating the achievements of energy-saving technology and making the concept of advocating energy and resource conservation deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.

As a key area of energy conservation and carbon reduction, public institutions are of great significance to green development. From the day of the event, all public institutions in Lanzhou City responded positively, combined with the "two new" policies, took the lead in implementing green and low-carbon technologies, innovated and established a contract energy management model, comprehensively strengthened resource conservation and recycling, injected new momentum into the energy conservation work of public institutions, and promoted their transformation to "new" and "green".

Public institutions at all levels in the province have also clarified the direction of their work. It is necessary to integrate strict conservation and opposition to waste into daily life, adhere to diligence and thrift in all undertakings, manage the whole process and save the whole chain of various energy resources such as water, electricity, gas, food, and assets, and set an example of diligence and thrift. In terms of planning promotion, it is necessary to achieve the successful conclusion of the "14th Five-Year Plan" with excellent results, and plan and start the preparation of the "15th Five-Year Plan" in advance. In the specific work, with the implementation of the "two new" policies as a breakthrough, public institutions are guided to update and transform key energy-using equipment, and make every effort to promote the implementation of key tasks such as energy cost trusteeship and anti-food waste. In addition, we will also seize important time nodes such as National Energy Conservation Publicity Week and World Food Day, and widely carry out publicity and education activities on energy conservation and carbon reduction in public institutions, so as to effectively enhance the awareness and ability of cadres and employees to save energy and reduce carbon consumption.

More than 400 people attended the event, including responsible comrades for energy conservation management of provincial departments, municipal departments, public institutions in various counties and districts, upstream Hydrological Resources Bureau of the Yellow River Water Conservancy Commission, relevant departments of Chengguan District, street volunteer representatives and representatives of some energy-saving enterprises.
