On August 31, the 62-day 2025 railway summer travel came to an end. The Lanzhou Railway Bureau sent a total of 18.617 million passengers this summer, an increase of 927,000 or 5.2% over 2024. Among them, 357,600 passengers were sent in a single day on August 16, setting a new record for the highest single-day passenger volume during the summer travel period of the bureau.
During this year's summer travel period, popular routes from Lanzhou to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Xi'an, Urumqi and other popular routes were very popular. The passenger flow of high-speed rail lines such as Baolan high-speed railway, Yinlan high-speed railway, Yinxi high-speed railway, Lanwu section of Lanzhang high-speed railway, and Huiyin section of Baoyin high-speed railway is even more "hot", and stations such as Baiyin West, Wuwei East, and Zhongchuan Airport East have refreshed the maximum passenger flow of summer travel. The short-distance passenger flow from Lanzhou to Yinchuan, Tianshui, Jiayuguan, Xining and other places is on the rise, and weekend tours and peripheral tours have become a happy password for everyone to go.
In the face of the demand for large passenger outflows, the railway department dynamically analyzes passenger flow data and accurately implements "one picture a day". During the summer travel period, EMU trains to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other directions will be reconnected, and EMUs from Lanzhou West to Xi'an North, Yinchuan to Beijing West and other directions, as well as ordinary speed trains from Lanzhou to Beijing, Urumqi, Kunshan, Emei, Dunhuang and other directions, the trains are like "steel links", closely connecting popular attractions, and providing tourists with one-stop direct intimate services.
In terms of serving passengers, the passenger transport units of Lanzhou Railway Bureau have shown their unique skills. Lanzhou Station's "008 Family Service" and "Feitian Xin Road" service brands, like warm guardian angels, open a green channel for key passengers, give priority to ticket purchase, waiting, ticket inspection, and boarding, and the convenience service station in the waiting room also provides free drinking water and emergency medicines.
