At 17:40 on September 8, the Lanzhou Public Works Machinery Section and the Lanzhou West Public Works Section of the Lanzhou Railway Bureau organized 185 cadres and employees and 21 large-scale road maintenance machinery to carry out line bed cleaning and tamping operations in the section from Lanzhou Shaojiatang to Shuiyuan Station on the Baolan Line, kicking off the second phase of centralized repair of the Gansu section of the Baolan Railway. At the same time, nearly 100 construction personnel in the Lanzhou West Public Works Section and 5 large road maintenance machinery simultaneously carried out stock road cleaning and screening at Doujiagou Station in Baiyin City.

Concentrated repair of the construction site
The reporter learned that the centralized repair will last until September 27, for a period of 20 days, Lanzhou Public Works Machinery Section and Lanzhou West Public Works Section will invest nearly 40 sets (vehicles) of large-scale equipment, planning to complete 14.14 kilometers of line and stock road cleaning and screening, and 14.14 kilometers of line tamping. During the construction period, the railway department optimized the transportation organization and adjusted the time of passenger and freight trains to ensure that the construction and transportation were "both correct and safe".
The Baolan Line is an important passenger and freight channel connecting North China and Northwest China, and its Gansu section passes through the hilly areas of the Loess Plateau. Affected by long-term driving loads, natural environment and rainy summers, some line beds are compacted and dirty, resulting in reduced elasticity and drainage. After the end of the summer travel, the Lanzhou Railway Bureau focused on cleaning and screening Doujiagou Station, Houchangchuan to Zhujiayao section, etc., and simultaneously completed the shaping of the track bed and the tamping of the line.
According to reports, the centralized repair construction adopts the man-machine collaboration mode, using the 3-hour train shutdown period every day to achieve the integrated construction of "screening-tamping-stabilization-transportation and compensation" through the "joint operation" of large-scale screening machines, hydraulic tamping machines and other equipment.
In order to ensure safety, each cleaning site has set up protection personnel according to the "one machine and two people" system, carried out safety technical disclosure for all employees before construction, and monitored the geometric dimensions of the track in real time during construction to ensure that the line meets the standard. The Lanzhou West Public Works Section also refined the plan, investigated the site and formulated plans every day according to the principles of "one case a day" and "one fork and one case", arranged technical backbones to monitor and guide the whole process, strengthened quality and safety card control and unit coordination, and ensured that key links were controllable.
The person in charge of the construction said that the track bed cleaning screen is like "changing the soil and water" for the railway, which can remove sediment and gravel, restore track elasticity, and reduce vibration and noise. After the completion of the centralized repair, the smoothness of the Gansu section of the Baolan Line will be comprehensively improved, which will not only improve the comfort of passenger trains, but also provide stable support for the transportation of key materials such as coal and agricultural products, and help regional economic development.
