On September 7, the 2025 National Science Popularization Month "One Thousand and One Nights, Science Wonderful Night" special event and the joint action of the Gansu Provincial Modern Science and Technology Museum System were officially launched at the Gansu Science and Technology Museum. Guests from various cities and counties, Spark Science and Technology Museums, and university representatives attended the launching ceremony.
At the beginning of the event, the repertoire of "Exploring Science in Children's Hearts" carefully choreographed by the Gansu Science and Technology Museum took the lead, and classic animated images such as "Black Cat Sheriff", "Nezha" and "Pig Man" and famous scientists such as "Yuan Longping" and "Tu Youyou" skillfully integrated scientific knowledge and humanistic feelings, which resonated strongly with the audience. These images, which carry the symbols of different times spirit, jointly interpret the eternal theme of protecting peace and conveying love and positive energy.
The scene of the event
In addition to the special repertoire, the event also created an immersive science experience scene, setting up four major sections: "show" science popularization, "hi" science popularization, "tour" science popularization and "joy" science popularization, covering science popularization shows, science courses, interactive experiments, VR experience, popular science knowledge quizzes, and scientist-themed film screenings.
It is worth mentioning that the Gansu Science and Technology Museum has jointly built a "science popularization market" jointly built by more than 30 exhibitors such as science and technology museums, enterprises, and universities in various cities and counties in the province, focusing on displaying characteristic science popularization resources and cutting-edge scientific research achievements, and bringing a "science popularization carnival" integrating science and fun to the general public.
This event is the first special event for Science Popularization Month held in our province since the revision and implementation of the "Science and Technology Popularization Law of the People's Republic of China" in December 2024 and the establishment of the "National Science Popularization Month". The event is led by the Gansu Science and Technology Museum and jointly created by the province's science and technology museum system units, universities and scientific research institutes, and will last until the end of the National Science Popularization Month.
