On the morning of September 24, the tug-of-war competition of organs directly under Lanzhou City kicked off at the gymnasium of Lanzhou University. More than 750 party members, cadres and workers from 59 teams of municipal organs gathered in the arena and will use ropes as a medium and meet friends in the next three days.

　　At about 9 a.m. on the same day, the opening ceremony officially began. All the staff sang the national anthem of the People's Republic of China, and the passionate melody echoed in the arena. Subsequently, the referees and athlete representatives took the oath on stage in turn. Athletes have said that they will uphold the principle of "friendship first, competition second", strictly abide by the rules of the competition, respect each other, go all out on the field, work hard, and compete in style, level, and friendship.

　　It is reported that this competition is conducted in a combination of elimination system and round-robin system, and finally the champion, runner-up and third place will be determined.
