China Lanzhou Network, October 11th - With the aim of accelerating the construction of a "zero-waste city," Lanzhou Municipal Urban Management Commission is promoting the reduction of solid waste at the source, its resource utilization, and its harmless disposal. The city has established a comprehensive waste sorting, collection, transportation, and disposal system. Currently, there are over 85,000 waste sorting collection containers and more than 1,480 waste sorting collection and transportation vehicles in the city. The recycling rate of urban domestic waste has reached more than 35%.

　　The Lanzhou City Urban Management Committee supervises catering waste collection enterprises to optimize collection measures, step up collection efforts, achieve closed transportation and exhaust collection, plan 102 catering refuse collection routes, and urge domestic and catering plants to dispose of garbage in a standardized manner. At the same time, we focus on areas where catering establishments and merchants gather in urban areas and key periods, promote the requirements for the standard disposal of kitchen waste, and crack down on the illegal dumping and illegal dumpings of kitchen refuse. So far this year, we have inspected more than 560 construction waste transportation vehicles, and cracked down on more than 210 private dumping sites. The first nine months of disposal of about 1 million tons of domestic waste, about 100 thousand tons of kitchen waste. At the same time, we actively carry out the construction of economy-efficient units, promote green offices, accelerate the construction of the recycling system for used materials, strictly implement the plastics limitation policy, and continuously improve the level of reducing the amount of domestic waste and resource-based treatment. We have continued to build a system of sorting waste distribution, collection and disposal. There are now more than 85,000 sorting containers for domestic waste collection throughout the city, and more than 1,480 sorting vehicles for domestic refuse collection, and the recycling rate of urban domestic waste has reached more than 35%. In line with the special actions of the "10 cures," we will continue to strengthen sanitation and waste removal. In response to key areas such as railways, highways, river floodways, rural-urban areas and urban entrances and exits, special actions to comprehensively clean up the environment in key areas of road traffic are being taken to focus on the cleaning up of old garbage and illegal dumping, so as to promote the overall improvement of the urban environment.
