Recently, in the 1,000-acre astragalus planting base in Chenjiajing Village, Zhongchuan Town, Lanzhou New Area, mechanical harvesting equipment roared in the field, turning over the ridges of soil, and thick, golden astragalus broke out of the soil, like "golden pimples". The workers followed closely behind, skillfully digging, sorting, and loading, and joyful smiles filled everyone's faces, outlining a moving picture of a golden harvest.
"Lanzhou New Area has enough sunshine, good geographical conditions, and the quality of the astragalus grown is particularly high." Yu Wenlin of Chenjiajing Village Joint Stock Economic Cooperative looked at the harvest scene in front of him and could not hide his excitement. He introduced that this year, the cooperative planted more than 1,000 acres of astragalus, relying on sprinkler irrigation technology and scientific field management, the growth of astragalus is gratifying, with an output of 600 kilograms per mu. "According to the current market price of 6 yuan per kilogram, the total output value is expected to exceed 4 million yuan."
In order to solve the bottleneck of short industrial chain and low added value, the Zhongchuan Town Government is accelerating the construction of the Chenjiajing Village Chinese Medicinal Materials Processing Industrial Park. After the completion of the industrial park, it will focus on solving the problems of traditional Chinese medicinal materials in primary processing, warehousing and preservation, circulation and sales, and promote the extension of the industry from simply selling raw materials to processing and creating benefits.
