When the cold snap in Siberia first reached the banks of the Yellow River, the Sanhekou Wetland in Dachuan Town, Xigu District, has ushered in the most precious winter visitor - white swans, their elegant postures ripple in the blue waves, sometimes singing, sometimes bowing their heads to forage, and putting a flowing white veil on the Yellow River in early winter.

The white swan dances
At the end of October, from the first swan to the water, now 12 "ecological messengers" have gathered, which is an accurate praise for the city's ecological governance for many years.
Ten years ago, Sanhekou was still an inaccessible river beach, and tourists had to step on the big rocks by the river to move forward. Today, it has become a paradise for white swans to overwinter. This transformation stems from the determination of ecological governance in Xigu District for many years. Dachuan Town takes "improving water quality, improving the environment, and preventing pollution" as the main line and carries out inspections along the river on a regular basis. Continue to implement the "river chief system", strengthen the monitoring and governance of the ecological environment of the Yellow River Basin, strengthen the management of the 7-kilometer slope shoreline of the Yellow River and Huangshui River Dachuan section, actively cooperate with district-level departments to carry out the acceptance of sewage outlet treatment, and make every effort to protect the 1,200 acres of reed wetlands in the Yellow River Basin under its jurisdiction. Now the water quality of the Dachuan section of the Yellow River Basin has been steadily improved from Class III to Class II, and the improvement of water quality has allowed more migratory birds to choose to inhabit here.
The arrival of the white swan ignited the winter heat for the Sanhekou of Dachuan Town. The navigation markers of "Sanhekou Swan Beach" continue to heat up, and tourists from Lanzhou and surrounding areas come here just to encounter the whiteness of early winter. The new farmers' market has prepared special agricultural products such as wine dates and cherry tomatoes, and more than 50 mobile stalls are waiting for the flow of customers; The upcoming ice and snow amusement project is upgrading "goose watching" into an immersive cultural tourism experience, so that ecological dividends can be transformed into practical results for villagers to increase income. The volunteer service team also summarized the "best viewing time period from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.", set up civilized reminder signs next to the plank road to guide tourists to "do not land garbage on the ground, bird watching does not make noise", so that the concept of protection and tourism heat up simultaneously.
