On December 21, a “Welcoming Winter and Offering Blessings” Mid-Autumn Festival-themed cultural exhibition event, filled with warmth and festive atmosphere, was inaugurated at the Lanzhou Fuli Wanda Wenhua Hotel. This event, which was guided by the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, aimed to revitalize local intangible cultural heritage through a collaborative effort between the government and businesses.
The event featured Ma Wenbin, the fourth generation inheritor of Lanzhou beef noodles and a representative of the national intangible cultural heritage “Lanzhou Beef Noodle Making Technique,” who had previously appeared on “A Bite of China.” At the same time, the “Xuanhe Wanji” cultural exhibition area nearby was also very popular. The aroma of winter delicacies such as gray beans, dumplings, glutinous rice balls, and lilies wafted through the air, mingling with the freshness and sweetness, drawing many families to stop and taste them. Near the booth showcasing Lanzhou gourd carving, artisans were carefully engraving with their knives, gradually revealing intricate patterns on a simple gourd. The tea-tasting area was serene and elegant, with the fragrance of tea blending harmoniously with the lively atmosphere. The innovative beverage experience area attracted many fashionable individuals, where traditional ingredients were reinterpreted to create surprising modern flavors.
Through live performances, interactive experiences, and tastings of seasonal delicacies, the event allowed citizens to experience the warmth and cultural richness of the festival. It also infused contemporary vitality into the preservation of intangible cultural heritage, achieving a win-win situation for cultural dissemination, commercial empowerment, and consumer experience.
