On February 24, Lanzhou held a conference on strengthening the provincial capital, sounding the clarion call for the first year of the "15th Five-Year Plan".

　　Since the provincial Party committee and the provincial government first deployed and promoted the strong provincial capital action at a high level, Lanzhou has overcome difficulties, worked hard, and achieved breakthrough progress and landmark results in the strong provincial capital action. The economic growth rate jumped from 0.8% in 2022 to 5.5% in 2025, and its contribution rate to the province's economic growth increased from 5.2% to 28%, with the economic primacy remaining at around 30%. The regional GDP is steadily moving towards the 400 billion yuan mark, and the per capita regional GDP has reached 87,000 yuan. It has achieved its own "acceleration".
