
Recently, the three test centers of the discipline potential test of the 2026 Gansu Provincial Youth "Flying Talents" plan in Lanzhou City were launched simultaneously.
Organized by the Lanzhou Association for Science and Technology, 56 first-year high school students from 4 provincial demonstration high schools in the city participated in the potential test of the five major subjects of biology, computer, physics, mathematics and chemistry at the three test points of Lanzhou No. 58 Middle School, Lanzhou No. 61 Middle School and Lanzhou Northwest Middle School, and competed for the "ticket" of the talent training plan.
It is reported that the test aims to select outstanding middle school students with subject expertise, innovation potential and scientific thinking, and the test covers five major subjects, comprehensively examining students' basic knowledge mastery, logical thinking ability, innovation potential and sensitivity to scientific problems.
The teacher in charge of the examination work of each test site said that the test is not only a contest of knowledge for the students participating in the activity, but also an in-depth assessment of scientific literacy and future scientific research potential. (Reporter Hua Jing text/photo)
