Just after the Lantern Festival, the fields of Honggu District are busy, all kinds of agricultural material reserves are sufficient, technical services are sinking to the front line, planting and transplanting are progressing in an orderly manner, the whole region seizes the agricultural time, concentrates on tackling tough problems, and solidly plays the "Endeavor Song" of spring ploughing production, laying a solid foundation for the annual agricultural harvest.
In Lanzhou Zhuoyuan Agricultural Production Materials Co., Ltd., Huazhuang Town, Honggu District, there is an endless stream of farmers who come to buy seeds, fertilizers, mulch and other agricultural materials, and a truck full of 12 tons of apple fertilizer is ready to be transported to the Yanguoxia area. "We are mainly engaged in seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, mulch films and other agricultural materials, and have reserved 500 tons of chemical fertilizers, 2,000 kilograms of seeds, 2 tons of pesticides, and 30 tons of agricultural film before spring plowing this year, which can fully meet the spring ploughing production needs of farmers in surrounding villages and towns." Ju Zhenghuan, the person in charge of the company, introduced.
In order to ensure the orderly progress of spring ploughing production, Honggu District deployed and took the initiative in advance, urged enterprises to strictly control the quality of purchases, and paid close attention to the reserve, transportation and supply of agricultural production materials. Up to now, the district has reserved more than 3,000 tons of various fertilizers, 60 tons of seeds, 15 tons of pesticides, and 200 tons of mulch film, and has laid a solid material foundation for spring ploughing production.
At present, the planting and transplanting work in the fields of Honggu District is in full swing, and in the red bamboo shoot planting base of Zhonghua Agricultural Products Professional Cooperative, between the neatly covered mulch films, workers seize the season to transplant the seedlings of Tiandi red red bamboo shoots, a derivative of a labor scene. "This year, the cooperative plans to plant 70 acres of red lettuce and 100 acres of Kelvin celery, and at the same time build 70 acres of Yilu Tian No. 16 and Meiyu No. 27 corn demonstration fields to drive the quality and efficiency of characteristic planting." Wang Minglong, the person in charge of the cooperative, said.
The greenhouse in Hezui Village, Huazhuang Town, is warm and full of vitality, and grower Su Chenghu is busy managing the red bamboo shoots in the shed, his face full of anticipation. "I planted a total of 4.5 acres of red bamboo shoots in 3 greenhouses, planting two crops a year, and the annual income is expected to reach 100,000 yuan." Su Chenghu's words are full of longing for a bumper harvest and yearning for a better life.
In order to promote spring ploughing production in a scientific and orderly manner, Honggu District has conducted in-depth analysis and judgment in advance, formulated detailed planting plans based on regional conditions, optimized the planting structure, and promoted high-quality agricultural development. This year, the total area of spring sowing in the region reached 74,900 mu, and the planting structure was rich and diverse, including 2,500 mu of wheat planting, 14,400 mu of corn, and 58,000 mu of vegetable planting. According to the plan, the annual grain sowing area will be stable at 16,900 mu, the vegetable planting area is expected to reach 111,000 mu (two crops a year), and the output is expected to exceed 290,000 tons.
Agricultural mechanization has become the main force of spring ploughing production. The district has invested more than 3,500 agricultural machinery and tools, coordinated 16 agricultural machinery cooperatives in the jurisdiction to complete the deep loosening of 30,000 acres of farmers' land, benefiting more than 7,000 farmers. The wide application of agricultural mechanization not only effectively reduces the labor intensity of farmers, but also improves the quality and efficiency of spring ploughing production.
In order to improve the scientific planting level of farmers, Honggu District has set up a technical service team composed of 40 agricultural technicians and 20 "soil experts" to carry out practical technical training in the fields and open up the "last mile" of serving farmers.
Zhang Sicheng, senior agronomist of the Honggu District Agriculture and Rural Bureau, introduced that the agricultural technology team took the initiative to sink to the front line, on the one hand, the policy of benefiting farmers such as facility agricultural subsidies, agricultural insurance, and agricultural machinery subsidies was in place; on the other hand, the practical technologies urgently needed by farmers such as the selection of improved seeds, scientific fertilization, green prevention and control, and disaster prevention and mitigation were sent to the field, and the model of "farmers' orders + active service" was adhered to, followed up and served throughout the whole process to ensure that there were no dead ends in technical guidance and full coverage of policy publicity.
Up to now, Honggu District has carried out 12 practical technical trainings such as facility strawberries, big cherries, and vegetable seedlings, and distributed more than 5,000 copies of technical materials, effectively providing technical support for the improvement of crop yield and quality. At the same time, 10,000 mu of facility agriculture in the district has maintained normal production and operation, and has completed 5,000 mu of vegetable planting, mainly planting red bamboo shoots, baby cabbage, loose flowers, cabbage and other plateau summer vegetable varieties, and it is expected that 58,000 mu of vegetable sowing will be fully completed in mid-April, which will not only enrich the "vegetable basket" of local residents, but also broaden the channels for farmers to increase their income.
