On March 9, the reporter learned from the Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs that since the beginning of this year, the city has been focusing on the "good start" goal in the first quarter, and has coordinated the promotion of the city's vegetable production and animal husbandry and other key agricultural and rural work, showing a good start and stable operation of agricultural economic indicators.

　　From January to February, the city's vegetable output was 82,000 tons, and it is expected that the vegetable output in the first quarter will be 122,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%, driving the added value of primary production to increase by 3.5 percentage points. The number of pigs, cattle, sheep and poultry slaughtered reached 200,000, 4,300, 190,000 and 550,000 respectively, and is expected to reach 280,000, 5,300, 230,000 and 750,000 respectively in the first quarter, an increase of 7%, 1.8%, 5% and 4.3% year-on-year respectively, driving the added value of primary production to increase by 2.5 percentage points.

　　In terms of improving the quality and efficiency of characteristic industries, the city has formulated and issued the annual work plan of eight major industries of "cattle, sheep, vegetables, fruits, potatoes, and medicines" and seven characteristic industries of "Hundred Mei Melon Peach, Fish and Pear Noodles", and has been approved to create a provincial modern agricultural industrial park in Yongdeng County, and the industrial strong town of Shichuan Town, Gaolan County has completed the mid-term self-assessment. By continuously promoting the supply-side structural reform of animal husbandry, the city supports the construction of high-quality forage bases, subsidies for livestock breeding, and the upgrading and transformation of dairy cooperatives, and the city's animal husbandry production has remained stable.
