Recently, the Urban Management Committee of Lanzhou City has made efforts in regulating the business order, strengthening environmental supervision, and implementing comprehensive management to enhance the management of breakfast stalls, safeguarding the "safety on the tip of the tongue" of the general public.
At around 8 o'clock on March 23rd, in areas where breakfast stalls are concentrated, such as Gulang Road and Huagong Street in Xigu District, law enforcement officers were inspecting whether the stalls had complete documents. "We have arranged staff to conduct full-coverage inspections of 72 breakfast stalls in the entire district once or twice a week, and urge and guide the breakfast stalls to operate at designated locations," said a relevant person in charge of the Urban Management Bureau of Xigu District.
In regulating the operation order of breakfast stalls, urban management law enforcement departments in various districts and counties of Lanzhou City follow the principles of "not affecting traffic, not affecting the city appearance, and facilitating people's lives" to scientifically plan and set up stall locations. At present, more than 1,000 breakfast stalls have been set up in the main urban area, with clear operating hours from 6:00 to 10:00. At the same time, operators are required to display documents such as temporary road-occupying breakfast stall permits and food stall registration certificates in prominent positions, and strictly implement the requirement of "operating with certificates displayed".
In terms of environmental supervision, urban management law enforcement departments in all districts and counties of Lanzhou City have strictly implemented the management regulations for the setting of breakfast stalls and strengthened the environmental protection around the stalls. "We require operators to be uniformly equipped with trash cans and other tools, lay oil-proof mats, promptly clean up the garbage around during business hours, and ensure that 'people leave and the ground is clean' after closing the stall, so as to make sure there is no messy stacking or garbage residue around the food carts," said a relevant person in charge of the Urban Management Bureau of Chengguan District.
In the comprehensive management phase, the Lanzhou Urban Management Committee takes the lead in carrying out multi-dimensional management work. The Yuzhong County Urban Management Bureau has recently specially carried out gas safety publicity for catering stall owners, popularized the standards for safe use of gas and key points for hidden danger investigation, enhanced the safety awareness of stall owners, and at the same time urged stall owners to timely replace "problematic cylinders" as well as aging air guide pipes, valves and other facilities, so as to proactively eliminate gas safety hazards.
Urban management law enforcement departments across the city, together with market supervision and other departments, carried out joint law enforcement, focusing on inspecting food safety and other conditions, to create a safe and reassuring consumption environment for citizens. In addition, the Municipal Urban Management Commission organized personnel to go to the front lines of urban areas to conduct on-site inspections on the management of breakfast stall settings, environmental sanitation and cleaning, etc. When problems were found, they were assigned for rectification immediately.
