On the banks of the Yellow River, the dragon branches are adorned with jade, and the flowers bloom like a tide. Since the opening of this year's "Pear Rhyme Shichuan Beautiful Gaolan" pear blossom season characteristic cultural tourism activities, the popularity has continued to rise, and tourists from all over the country have flocked to the Shichuan Centennial Pear Garden to enjoy the flowers, check in and take photos, experience the pear township style, and go to a spring appointment with the century-old pear orchard in the snowy sea of flowers.

Pear blossoms are used as matchmakers

The "flower economy" has set off a new upsurge in consumption

The Shichuan Ancient Pear Orchard, which covers an area of more than 10,000 acres, has 9,423 ancient pear trees over 100 years old. In April, pear blossoms bloom all over the mountains like snow.

This year, Gaolan County uses flowers as a medium, adhering to the cultural tourism development concept of panoramic shaping, all-season experience, whole-industry development, and the participation of the whole society, and launches a series of special activities such as cultural benefit, folk performances, immersive check-ins, characteristic homestays, and exploration of the Yellow River, showing the unique charm of this globally important agricultural cultural heritage in three dimensions.

Walking through the pear orchard, all kinds of immersive experience scenes can be seen everywhere. "There are pears in this room" pear garden roaming check-in and "pear garden song" cultural activities to benefit the people are deeply loved by tourists. In front of the "Pear Can't Open You" stage, farming museum and other check-in points, Qin cavity folding opera, Lanzhou drums, folk songs and other programs were staged in turn, and the atmosphere was full. The Huanhua Creek Landscape Belt is designed with the design concept of "small bridges and flowing water", and the bluestone plank road winds along the canal, creating a poetic artistic conception of "people swimming in the painting", becoming a popular new landmark for tourists to take pictures.

"I swiped a video of pear blossoms blooming on the Internet, and I specially rushed over from Xi'an by high-speed train, wearing Hanfu and strolling through the pear blossom sea, as if I had 'crossed' by myself." Wang Yutong, a tourist who took pictures on the bluestone plank road of Huanhua Creek, said with a smile.

  Cultural and creative is popular

Soft pear incarnated as a "top-notch" souvenir

Pear blossoms have brought tourism, cultural and creative products and agricultural products. In the Shichuan Ancient Pear Garden, the soft pear is undergoing a gorgeous transformation from a representative of "sweetness" to a cultural and creative business card.

This "black pimple", which was once famous for its "ugly appearance and difficult storage", has now formed a whole industry chain ecology of "planting-processing-sales-cultural tourism" through deep processing and cultural and creative IP two-wheel drive, and has successfully transformed into a "golden egg" to increase income and get rich. In April 2025, Gaolan Soft Pear was recognized as a geographical indication product, and this "national brand" business card has injected strong impetus into the brand development of Soft Pear.

In the agricultural special tourism commodity store in the ancient pear garden scenic area, soft pear ice American has become a hot-selling drink. According to Wei Yongbo, the person in charge, during the peak season of the pear blossom season, soft pear coffee can sell hundreds of cups every day, and the burnt aroma of coffee blends with the sweetness of century-old pear fruits, which is favored by tourists. At the same time, soft pear ice cream, winter fruit pear drinks, etc. also continue to sell well, and tourists have bought them to take home the "taste of pear township".

In addition to cultural and creative products, Gaolan's local agricultural products are also selling well. During the pear blossom season, Gaolan County concentrated on the exhibition and sale of hot winter fruit soup, Heshang head noodles, pear paste and other agricultural products, which relied on the east wind of cultural tourism to enter the bags of tourists from the fields and became a veritable "pear township business card".

  Integration of culture and tourism

A season of flowers gives birth to a four-season industry

From the excitement of spring flower viewing to the continuous operation throughout the year, Gaolan County is making every effort to promote the transformation of short-term "flow" into long-term "retention". The rise of the new format of "short-term rental of village houses" has allowed more farmers to pick up the "tourism rice bowl".

Peng Xiaqing, a villager in Shangche Village, Shichuan Town, carefully transformed his courtyard into a characteristic rural homestay, pushing the window to see pear blossoms around the branches, and entering the hospital to taste authentic farmhouse dishes, becoming the manager of the well-known "Qingjie Courtyard". She said: "Since the pear blossoms bloomed, tourists from all over the country have come to stay, and the courtyard is becoming more and more lively day by day, and the income has also increased. ”

In the evening, the courtyard of the "Qingjie Courtyard" was full of tourists dining. Chen Yuanzhi, a tourist from Chengdu, sighed while tasting the farmhouse specialties: "Living here, you can hear the murmuring of the Yellow River at night, and when you open the window during the day, you will see a sea of flowers and pastoral gardens. ”

From a pear blossom to a season of flowers, from a pear fruit to an industrial chain, Gaolan County is taking the "pear blossom season" as a link to further promote the integrated development of agriculture, culture and tourism, organically combine the scenery of the pear orchard, the Yellow River culture and rural industries, and create immersive flower appreciation, intangible cultural heritage experience, farming research, camping and leisure and other diversified scenes, so that the sea of flowers in one season can be extended into a year-round industry, and promote the transformation of "one season tour" to "four seasons of prosperity".

The 2026 Shichuan pear blossom season is not only a double feast of vision and taste, but also a vivid practice of integrating culture and tourism to boost rural revitalization. The white pear blossoms reflect the joy of farmers to increase their income, and also echo the laughter of tourists, painting a beautiful picture of ecological beauty, industrial prosperity and people's wealth. With the continuous advancement of the pear blossom season series of activities, Shichuan Ancient Pear Garden is welcoming tourists from all over the country with more diverse formats, richer experiences, and more intimate services.
