Shenshen: I was deeply touched and moved even before the Lanzhou Marathon officially started. This is my fourth year taking part in the Lanzhou Marathon. I have run the full marathon every year for four consecutive years, as the half marathon just never feels satisfying enough. I once thought it was only my own passion, yet year after year, I am warmly cherished by this city and countless strangers. I still keep the heartfelt warmth I felt at the 36-kilometer mark last year fresh in my mind all year long. Unexpectedly, people have made careful preparations in advance again this year, and a simple word of concern instantly strikes a chord in my heart. I love the lively and down-to-earth vibe of the Lanzhou Marathon. Crowds line up along the track cheering loudly; even total strangers spare no effort to cheer you on. I travel thousands of miles driven by my passion, while Lanzhou waits gently for me year after year. Four years of participating in the Lanzhou Marathon brings us reunions time and again. Such pure enthusiasm is well worth my repeated journeys here.
