In early summer, leveraging their unique resource endowments, all regions in our province vigorously develop characteristic industries such as the cultivation of fruits, melons and vegetables as well as agricultural product processing. Adopting an industrial development layout of "one village, one special product", they strive to boost agricultural output and efficiency and increase farmers' incomes to help them achieve prosperity.

　　Honggu District of Lanzhou City vigorously develops plateau summer vegetables as its leading industry. At a local economic cooperative, farmers are busy sorting, bagging and packing plump, compact and emerald-green flowering Chinese cabbages in neat stacks. These fresh vegetables will soon be transported to Guangdong, Shanghai, Shaanxi and other regions via cold-chain trucks.

　　This year, Honggu District plans to plant 110,000 mu of plateau summer vegetables, with an expected total output of 290,000 tons, including 58,000 mu in the first half of the year yielding 150,000 tons.

　　At the collective economic industrial demonstration park in Yongchang Town, Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, more than a hundred fully steel-framed arch greenhouses are filled with flourishing vegetables including celery, lettuce and cabbage. Relying on the development model of "village Party branch + village share-based economic cooperative + enterprise + base + farmers", the local government has improved mechanisms to link and drive farmers, realizing the sharing of benefits among all parties.

　　Combining local soil, water and climate conditions, Lingtai County has introduced multiple high-quality new cucumber varieties for trial planting. This move has filled the gap in local vegetable varieties and opened up a new nearby income-increasing channel for local residents. These days, cucumbers have entered the peak harvesting season.

　　Tianshui City continues to expand and strengthen its regional public brand of cherries. In orchards in Qinzhou District, large cherries hang heavy on the branches, filling the air with rich fruity aroma as they enter the peak harvest and marketing season. With the opening of cherry picking, local sales orders keep pouring in and market demand remains red-hot.

　　By rationally matching early, medium and late-maturing varieties, Tianshui City realizes staggered listing of cherries and year-round continuous supply. Yumen City keeps strengthening its distinctive muskmelon industry, injecting lasting "sweet" momentum into rural revitalization through characteristic industries.
