On July 1, Air China Flight CA8278 landed at Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport. Eighteen visually impaired group passengers on board needed to transfer to China Eastern Airlines Flight MU9670 to reach their destination, and an efficient, smooth and warm transfer support service quietly unfolded at the airport.

This heartwarming service was fully launched long before the passengers set off. Leveraging the established long-term dynamic coordination mechanism, Korla Licheng Airport submitted the travel demands of the visually impaired passenger group in advance. Air China actively provided system support, while Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport immediately activated the express transit guarantee process. The airport and airline worked efficiently and closely together to move the service guarantee front forward to passengers' departure stations, delivering a worry-free transit experience for passengers throughout the entire journey.

Upon the flight's arrival, Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport immediately launched a special rapid transfer support program with coordinated efforts from multiple departments. It normally takes 15 to 20 minutes for the group of visually impaired passengers to travel a long distance from Gate A10 to Gate C46. Taking into account the large number of visually impaired passengers and their concentrated demand for assistance, the Airport Passenger Service Department urgently arranged and deployed four free electric shuttle carts for passenger care, mobilized service support staff across different departments, and escorted the visually impaired group in batches with dedicated staff providing one-on-one full accompanying guidance to smoothly lead them through the long-distance inter-terminal transfer to their boarding gate. Meanwhile, thanks to the implementation of the Civil Aviation Administration of China's "Connecting Regional and Trunk Routes, Linking the Entire Aviation Network" initiative, passengers transferring between all airlines at the airport do not need to claim their checked luggage. After the luggage undergoes secondary transfer within the airport, it will be shipped directly to the destination, bringing greater convenience to connecting passengers.

Staff at all posts of Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport worked closely and cooperatively, covering thoughtful pick-up service for visually impaired group passengers after disembarkation, coordinated baggage transfer via back-office support, special shuttle bus transport, and full accompanying service throughout the boarding process. The thoughtful and considerate warm services throughout the entire journey won unanimous praise from the visually impaired group passengers, who all gave compliments and expressed gratitude to the airport staff.

Relevant officials of Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport stated that in the next step, they will further advance the implementation of the Civil Aviation Administration of China's strategy of "connecting trunk and branch routes and integrating the whole network", iteratively optimize the full-chain transfer services, improve the long-term service guarantee mechanism for special passengers, continuously deepen coordination and linkage with all feeder airports and airlines, steadily boost transfer efficiency, strive to build a high-quality transfer hub in Northwest China, and safeguard passengers' journeys with thoughtful and warm services.
